The ground rules for working with Sports Sitters NJ.

These terms apply to your use of the Sports Sitters NJ website and services. By booking a session, signing up for an event, or buying from us, you agree to them. If you have questions, contact us at SportsSittersNJ@gmail.com.

Who we are

Sports Sitters NJ is a youth sports mentorship service in Cranford, NJ and surrounding areas. Sessions are led by student-athletes under the direction of the founder.

Parents and guardians

Only a parent or legal guardian may book, sign up, or pay. By doing so you confirm that you have the authority to enroll your child and that the information you give us is accurate, including any health, allergy, or safety information we should know about.

Sessions and events

  • Sessions are for children ages 6 and up and are held at your home, a local park, or the event location listed.
  • A parent or guardian should be reachable during every session. For sessions at your home, a parent or guardian should be on site.
  • We may end a session early or ask a child to sit out if safety is a concern, and we may cancel for weather or safety reasons.
  • Sports carry a risk of injury. By enrolling your child, you accept that risk and agree to tell us about any condition that could affect participation.

Cancellations and refunds

  • 24 or more hours notice: full refund.
  • 4 to 24 hours notice: 50% refund.
  • Less than 4 hours notice: no refund.
  • Weather cancellations by us: full refund.

To cancel, email or call us using the contact details below. Event registrations and early-bird pricing may carry their own terms, which will be listed with the event.

Payment

Prices are shown on our Pricing and Events pages. Session payments are requested by Venmo after we confirm your booking. Event and store payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Store orders

If you buy products from us, shipping, tax, and delivery options are shown at checkout. If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will work with you on a replacement or refund.

Photos and media

We may take photos and video during sessions and events and post them on our website and social media. If you do not want your child included, tell us in writing and we will respect that.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sports Sitters NJ and its team are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages that happen during sessions or events except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Nothing here limits any rights you have under New Jersey law that cannot be waived.

Website use

Content on this site belongs to Sports Sitters NJ. Please do not copy it or use our name or logo without permission. We may update the site and these terms at any time, and the date above shows the latest version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
